My name is Norma Mejia. As some may know, my dad, Antonio Contreras, has been battling cancer for almost two years now.
On May 9th, he started to feel ill. I took him to the emergency room to find out he had a severe case of pneumonia that had spread to both lungs. He was transported to St. Cloud Hospital, where the doctors told us his condition was worsening. The only thing they could do was intubate him while giving him antibiotics to fight the pneumonia. The doctors are not giving us a lot of hope, but he is a fighter. He’s been fighting since his cancer diagnosis, and it breaks my heart that I have to do this, but we need help. Even if you cannot make a donation, say a prayer for my dad and keep him in your thoughts. All we can do now is have faith that he will recover, but we also have to be realistic and accept he might not. El 9 de mayo, empezó a sentirse mal. Lo llevé a urgencias y dicen que tiene una neumonía grave que se extendido a ambos pulmones. Lo trasladaron al Hospital de St. Cloud, donde los médicos nos informaron que su estado estaba empeorando.
